Newborn Portraits…snuggle time
Babies are the most precious sight to see and I love capturing these first portraits of the babies for my families. Imagine your tiny newborn baby nestled up under mom’s chin or held snuggled up to dad, the tiny toes and fingers…its all about the details.
Plan to schedule your newborn session as early after delivery as possible…so the baby will still be at its smallest (they do grow fast) so you won’t have time to procrastinate here. You may even get dad or grandma to call for the appointment – just make it happen and you will cherish these images forever…. I promise.
Children, once they get passed the newborn stage, start creating personalities immediately and its fun to capture toddlers and kids doing “their thing”.
Contact the studio before or immediately after the baby is born. Its always best to get these sessions done as soon after delivery as mom and baby can handle (usually 7-14 days) since babies grow so fast. Its typical to do these within the first or second week. I am sure to get details of toes, fingers, eyelashes and a innocent little bundle snuggled up to mom and dad. We also want to time the session when the baby is most sleepy so we get those innocent sleeping baby images.
While most clients end up doing a Portrait Collection or album, there is no minimum…Collections start at $388 (which includes a wall portrait and smaller prints too) and a la carte prints start at $18… so affordable for any budget. Keep in mind all my photographs come from my professional lab that still produces wet-process silver halide true photographs…not inkjets as everyone else has gone to unfortunately.

The presentation appointment is usually scheduled about 2 weeks following your session. Both parents and any other family members (grandparents) who will wish to view and purchase images will need to be present at this appointment. You will first see a slideshow of the images set to music and projected on a big screen. After the show, we can then go right into designing your order.
To display your family images on your walls of your home shows just how important family is to you. When your friends and neighbors enter your home and see a nice family portrait over your mantle, they will know immediately your family means everything to you.

Your wall portrait can be framed to coordinate with your home decor and colors, style of the portrait and delivered ready to hang. In some cases, I hand deliver the finished portraits to clients homes.
Multi-image wall panels are also popular wall displays for present several story telling images together. These panels are double matted, glassed and available in different colors.
