No. Good question though. I do NOT have to take these images. These days, many brides for example are given a disc of thousands of images and these poor brides have no idea what to do with them. Since many “photographers” dont want to mess with the albums, they hand over the high resolution images to the brides so I can take those high rez images and design something beautiful and mounted in these same Montage Artbooks. I do want to “look” at the provided images on the disc to make sure they are high enough quality to produce a very sharp, crisp, gorgeous product before we get started.
No worries. I can help. The first thing to do is bring the disc in and let me see the file sizes, quality, just what we are working with and I can tell you what we can do. Even if the images are not “perfect” or even professionally captured…I can many times do my magic on them and make them better than the original.
After I get the images (whether mine or yours) first thing I need from you is a list of favorites so I know what to work with. If you prefer I choose the best ones, I am happy to do that too…I know choosing hundreds of images (like for a wedding) can be daunting and I can do it all if you prefer. Once I create a layout of the album, this will give us a answer for how many pages it will take to “house” everything. The layout is then placed online (in client gallery) for you to see and proof at your own pace. This is the “editing” stage where you can add pages, delete pages, combine images, etc.. so we can get the layout “perfect” so I can send it off to my pro lab to print the panorama prints. I then get those back from the lab, check them, then ship them to the album maker to mount and bind into the cover you choose. Once we have an approved layout, I can usually have the album finished and delivered within about 6-8 weeks.
Yes..there are lots of cover choices – color, textures, image opening, 2-tone or solid. When you come to deliver the disc of images or when you come in for the presentation appointment if I am doing the images, you will see the album swatches to get a look and feel of the options. The 2-tone covers are very popular with 2 different color leathers. Textures can be ostrich, wood grain, matte, smooth, beaded, etc…

These albums can be designed for most any subject matter… usually from portrait work and weddings but can be for business use and promotion, advertising, landscapes and scenery, most anything. We just need high resolution image files.
We can design a “History” album for you with many different images of your life here in the area or a “Family Ancestry” album if you just have old family prints…which I can take high rez captures of to create the layout, so I can work from prints too…provided we have permission.
